Oceanfront Hotels – Complimentary Meals, Games And More Offered To Coho Oceanfront Lodge Guests

No matter how much you travel, it’s always delightful to find unexpected values while on the road, such as those provided by The Coho Oceanfront Lodge (www.thecoholodge.com) in Lincoln City, Ore. And everyone will get something free to enjoy—kids, parents, grandparents and adult couples.

Travelers will first appreciate the freshly ground, free coffee and a just-baked cookie at the front desk.

But the most popular item is the free, hearty continental breakfast that goes beyond coffee, juice and rolls to include freshly made waffles, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, pastries and muffins.

The Coho, located in the heart of Lincoln City at 1635 N.W. Harbor, also has added a second complimentary wine reception so that travelers wishing to relax after a long drive can enjoy a glass of red or white Northwest wine on both Wednesdays and Fridays. Unlike big city hotels, The Coho Oceanfront Lodge does not charge for parking nor for wireless Internet service. Kids and adults both will enjoy free use of board games and binoculars which let guests scan the horizon of the vast Pacific Ocean.  Weather permitting, adults also may request free use of gas fire pits, all the better to set a romantic mood on the Oregon Coast. Canadian visitors also will receive a free, crisp$10 American bill, subject to requirements.

In addition to the freebies, many of the hotel’s packages will be well worth the extra fee.  For example, an extra $49 will get you the Beach Bonfire Package that includes firewood, roasting sticks for hot dogs, graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows for s ‘mores, a beach mat and beach bag.

The Kids’ Beach Package is just $25 and includes two kiddy kites, beach toys, snacks, a beach ball, beach towel, family guide with a list of local and family friendly destinations, unlimited DVD rentals and unlimited use of board games.

Wine Social Every Wednesday and Friday at The Coho Oceanfront Lodge in Lincoln City, Oregon

Wine_glass

The Coho Oceanfront Lodge of Lincoln City, Oregon, are happy to announce that every Wednesday, from 4:00pm - 5:00pm and Friday 4:00pm - 6:00pm, they will be hosting a complimentary wine social for all guests of the hotel. The wine socials involves tastings of the wines that we carry here at the Coho, as well as decadent Hors d'œuvre's and our wine host, George, will be happy to discuss local tourist attractions and some of the better restaurants with all social goers.  As an added bonus, the Coho Oceanfront Lodge, (one of the best Lincoln City Oregon Hotels), will also have a massage therapist perform free, 10 minute chair massages.

Some of the wines that we sample at the wine social include, but are not limited to:

Henry Estate Veraison 2008, Oregon
This soft fruity blush wine is made from a blend of Chardonnay, Muscat and Cabernet Sauvignon. The name comes from the Frenchviticulturists, “Veraison” is the term used when red grapes start to turn color from green to red in the vineyard and, in Europe, this time is widely celebrated.

Waterbrook Chardonnay 2007, Washington
Aromatic apple and citrus zest married with tropical fruit notes welcome you to this crisp Chardonnay. Notes of grapefruit and apple with hints of toast lead to a wonderful bright finish.

Barnard Griffin Merlot 2006, Washington
A medley of vanilla, deep spice, plum and black tea aromas create a pleasing herb/fruit balance. Infused, ripe cherry and vanilla flavors greet the palate followed by mouthwatering acidity. Hints of burnt orange and plum chime in on the long finish. Well paired with lamb or spicy Italian foods.

Montinore Estate Pinot Noir 2008, Oregon
The colors are deep and ruby. The Aromatics are of clean, very rich, ripe fruit, without any cooked jammy notes. The acids are perfectly balanced, with mouth-filling, full-bodied wines with fine-grained, elegant tannins.

Eola Hills Pinot Gris 2008, Oregon
Fresh Bartlett Pears come to mind when you first inhale the delicious aroma. At first taste, it is light, refreshing, and a little fruity with a little spritz on the finish.

THE COHO OCEANFRONT LODGE

About Us

What makes The Coho unique?

There are so many hotels, motels, and inns along the Oregon Coast, why should you choose The Coho as your lodging destination?  Here are some of the reasons why we are confident you will be delighted with your decision to stay with us:

Best Practices:  We combine the best practices of major hotel chains with intimate and personalized touches of a small luxury boutique hotel.  The Coho is operated by VIP Hospitality Inc., a hotel management and development company with 75+ years in combined hospitality industry experience.  Our mission is to provide the most comfortable, memorable, and fun-filled stay for our guests by providing exceptional service and a picture-perfect setting which includes our beautifully renovated rooms.  VIP Hospitality operates under the following guiding principles:

Vision: Today, more than ever, the lodging industry is saturated with cookie-cutter brands looking to offer their products/services to the mass with little differentiation.  We strive to be a visionary in the industry by providing a unique product and service that our customers desire and our employees feel proud being a part of.
Integrity: We truly believe the most profitable business practice over the long- run is to do all things with integrity and live out the following biblical verse:  “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” (Luke 6:31)
Passion: We love what we do and will strive to show our passion through the products and services offered.  Ultimately, we are not in a room rental-business but in the business of creating lasting memories. Passion will shine through our employee’s’ friendliness and smiles, cleanliness and crispness of our facilities, and creativity of our services offering.

We are a member of the Oregon Q Care program with 100% of our front desk associates having successfully gone through the quality certification process.

Renovation and Repositioning:  In 2006, the owners made a commitment to fully renovate and reposition the property into a boutique hotel.  The Coho always had amazing views, but the facilities were starting to tire.  Over the next several years, after thorough research, careful planning and several million dollars, The Coho was reborn and is today considered one of the best hotels in the Pacific Northwest.

  • DécorModern retro touches with warm coastal palettes and unique local flavors.  Luxury touches abound, such as large stone gas fireplaces, 32” LCD HDTV, Lumicor glass panels, granite-top vanity, imported tiles from Italy, and comfortable deep-seated lounge chairs. Adorned on the guestroom walls are colorful pictures of sea corals and other sea life.
  • Concept:  An upscale boutique hotel with exceptional finishes, breathtaking views, and down-to-earth personalized service.

A Green Hotel
The Native American story of Salmon teaches us if we crave for the fruits of the earth, we must respect Mother Nature.  At The Coho, we are committed to do our part and make a small difference in making this a better, greener planet.  In partnership with the Green Hotels Associations, following are the initiatives The Coho has committed to in being a “Green” hotel:
