Sand Castle Building Contest August 13th A sand castle contest noon in the Historic Taft District. Entries must be built using only sand, water, shells and other natural beach materials found on the beach that day. hand tools and forms of any sort may be used in the construction process but in no way may support the final sculpture. Beach Bark Pet Parade August 20th Part pet parade, part beach clean up, part leisurely stroll, the Beach Bark is a fundraiser for pets in need on the Oregon Coast. The beach walk will start near Chinook Winds Resort and Casino and ends with an outdoor BBQ at SW 51st Street. Shuttles and support provided along the route. Fresh Water Look @ Devils Lake August 27th Lincoln City, Oregon will play host once again to a cleaning extravaganza. 16th Annual Golf Scramble August 28th Each year, the NLH Foundation sponsors a golf tournament to encourage golf enthusiasts to play for a cause while enjoying the camaraderie of the days events. Recognizing the crucial need for specialized services in a child's formative years, this year the tournament is dedicated to raising funds for Samaritan North Lincoln Hospitals Early Learning Center. Wine Social Every Wednesday & Friday Every Wednesday, from 4:00pm - 5:00pm and Friday 4:00pm - 6:00pm, they will be hosting a complimentary wine social for all guests of the hotel. The wine socials includes complimentary wine tastings, decadent Hors d'œuvre's and our wine host, George, will be discussing various local tourist attractions and giving out suggestions on some of the better restaurants in town. As an added bonus, The Coho Oceanfront Lodge will also have a massage therapist perform free, 10 minute chair massages on Friday's wine social.
