For more than 30 years, Vince Gill has been a staple of the American country music scene. From his beginnings as lead singer of Pure Prairie League, to his current status as one of the top male country vocalists of all time, he has always stayed true to his roots and has touched the hearts of millions with his pure, soulful voice.
With hits such as “I Still Believe In You”, “Liza Jane", "Don't Let Our Love Start Slippin' Away", and "Go Rest High On That Mountain", Gill has sold more than 26 million albums. Vince has also recorded numerous duets, with artists such as Reba McEntire, Barbara Streisand, and Patty Loveless. He has earned 18 CMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year in 1993 and 1994. He is tied with George Strait for having won the most CMA Male Vocalist Awards (five), and is currently second only to Brooks and Dunn for accumulating the most CMA Awards in history. Gill is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and has received 19 Grammy Awards to date, the most of any male Country artist. In August of 2007, the Country Music Association inducted Gill as one of the newest members of the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame. Besides being known for his talent as a performer, musician and songwriter, Gill is regarded as one of Country Music's best known humanitarians, participating in hundreds of charitable events throughout his career.
