So many reasons to come to the Oregon Coast! If your interests run towards a beautiful mix of craft & skill, than the Woodcarving Show is for you! This yearly event (Jan 14 & 15) is brought to you by the Coastal Carvers, and will be hosted by the Chinook Winds Casino, inside the Convention Center. The show will be featuring carvings and tools for sale, as well as free wood carving classes for kids and adults. Show begins at 10AM daily. Free admission!
The gray whale migration is nearing the end of it's winter run, come out and see these magnificant beasts before they reach California. Just a few days ago, a guest returned a pair of binoculars with the announcement that he had seen 4 whales from his balcony! What a sight to behold, right from your Coho room.
We've had a wild week of weather out here- the perfect weather for any tried and true Oregon experience! High winds, a bit of drizzle and incredible surf make for the perfect view from any of our Oceanfront rooms. Get out and feel the weather on the beach, then return to your room for a glass of wine by the fireplace- the perfect combo for any winter coast vacation. Don't get me wrong though- there have been a few sunny days peeking through- make a reservation now and see if you can catch one!
